same old story, in time for a warning
i'm gonna turn around, you'll be gone
a nice little goodbye, songbird unheard
don't make me wait, now that i have come of age
stranger today, your precious light may come my way
i was not in for much, may be lost but i've been touched
watch over me, let me be, now's the time to lose yourself

Same old story is right ... unpack boxes around the house, play some video games, watch Chelsea, work, sleep. Last weekend had a few blips, namely going to Live 105's "Not So Silent Night" Christmas show on Friday, featuring Modest Mouse (dunno, they just don't do it for me), Franz Ferdinand (great debut album and a stellar live act, much better than the last time i saw them), the Killers (they're purty good, but as it was i spent most of their set getting beers and am not too disappointed about that), and Muse (again, a band that gets lots of praise but doesn't grab me). Despite getting about four hours sleep that night, i managed to stay up all Saturday (getting in some sweet Halo 2 multiplayer action with V, Kevin, and Hakeem) before seeing the Hives play the Warfield. I liked their sound better than when i saw them in Boston at the Roxy, but again their shameless self-promotion put me off ... the singer might as well be screaming "Love me! WORSHIP ME!". Didn't matter much though because thanks to our balcony seats, i was half asleep for most of the show. Because of my general state of sleep deprivation, i declined Michael's invite to watch Sunday's Premiership showdown between Chelsea and Arsenal live at 7am at Mad Dog. I was pleased with the result, a 2-2 draw in which the Blues twice came back from a goal down. That keeps us five points ahead of the Arse, and thanks to an unexpected Manchester United draw against Fulham, nine points ahead of the mancs.
Scouring the internet for album cover images for my mp3s, i find myself continually asking the same question ... why is it next to no one in the world knows how to use a friggin scanner?
Just finished solving a geometry problem related to the one i banged my head against months ago. I'll spare you the nerdy details, suffice it to say that you would think projecting a 3D region onto a plane would be a similar problem to slicing it with a plane. Not similar enough, in my humble opinion.
